LATENT
PHOTOGRAPHIC INSTALLATION, 4 SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHIES, IN HANGING ROLLS, PAPER AND INK, 2009

This project is based on an investigation about contemplation, a way of watching that starts with the fascination (by a landscape, an object), that invites to contemplate it, without hurries, and without extra information. This lead us to recognise elements that are not in the image itself, but only in a latent way. The project rescues a primitive way of looking, where the only possible approximation to knowledge is through the observation of the object of study, connecting us to our instincts and inviting us to see even more: energies that are present in the thing we are looking at, things that we are only able to recognise in this contemplative state.

This project was exposed in November 2009, in Berlin, at the WIR Gallery, in the exhibition 7days, curated by Valeria Schwarz. People could take a part of the work with them.
